Makini Thomas is a Research Assistant at Sones & White. She spent most of her childhood in Clinton, Mississippi, and graduated from Pearl High School. Before coming to SWC, she worked as a community living assistant for three years at SON Valley, a Christian intermediate care facility for adults with special needs, and as a direct care worker at Hudspeth Regional Center.

Makini is mother to Memory and enjoys being around people, talking, cooking, going to Bible study, and trying new things. She is an active member at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church.
